Drew graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Political Science, Sociology, and Social Science in 1995, and he received his J.D. from Florida State University in 2003. Drew also holds Master Degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and the University of Notre Dame. While in law school, Drew clerked for a state wide law firm assisting with the drafting of legal pleadings, trial briefs and appellate briefs. Additionally, Drew assisted corporations with document review and responses to administrative investigative subpoenas issued by Florida's Attorney General. After graduation from law school, Drew worked for the Florida Department of Financial Services ("DFS") in its Constitutional Issues Section. Drew's primary responsibilities included representation of Florida's Chief Financial Officer in litigation connected to the Chief Financial Officer's constitutional duty to approve and settle all claims against the State of Florida. Drew also assisted DFS's Division of Accounting and Auditing on a vast range of issues, including negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts. Currently, Drew focuses on representing private and public clients in litigation, appellate, administrative and government relations matters. Drawing from his experience with DFS, Drew is able to advise private clients on how to develop, acquire and/or manage business with the state government. |
